They keep trying but so far they're just not up to snuff. They are buying services like FareCast to compete with Google and it's helping their cause, but they have a long way to go. Google is still the best search engine and will continue to be as long as they innovate. |

Avoid like the plague if you actually want to receive emails. Their service drops out sporadically. Sometimes it's the whole site, and sometimes it's just the email. (You don't receive any messages, but there's no indication of a problem on the account management page.) Any emails sent to you during that period are lost. -- I used the free service, but after doing so would not ever give them any money. There is a reason why, when typing hotpop.com, Google suggests "hotpop.com down" and "what happened to hotpop.com" |

I use it to find paths for running. It's a great tool. You can see if there are sidewalks, etc. |

I ended up closing my account. I ended up with 70 "friends" but the vast majority of them weren't real connections. It's strange, it's like the social network promoted non-contact. I think this is true for most of the networks. Also, a lot of people are switching to FaceBook. What a pain! I'm going to stick with the classic forms of communication for now. I'm also not a fan of some big corporate company having all of my personal information. |
