Most popular is not the best!

MySpace is the most popular social network on the planet at current writing. I suppose with popularity comes problems. MySpace frequently has errors, timeouts, and other anamolies. You click on a profile picture to see it larger and you end up on another image in their profile. Very strange!
MySpace lacks in the technology department. However, it has the largest member count so if you're looking for a service where you'll find the most friends, MySpace is for you. Whether or not those friends will be active in a year, who knows. They are likely to have switched to FaceBook. However, if you're looking for a service with more features and is currently what's "in" then Facebook is for you.

MySpace is fun for a while, but it may just be a fad. Only time will tell. It is currently looking into making data portable which makes life easier for us users. We will potentially be able to choose what services can have our information.

I don't know why everyone hates on MySpace. It's a cool service that has the most friends. It allows you to customize your page much more than FaceBook. It allows you to have a personality! I recommend it to anyone. Sign up and friend me!

I ended up closing my account. I ended up with 70 "friends" but the vast majority of them weren't real connections. It's strange, it's like the social network promoted non-contact. I think this is true for most of the networks. Also, a lot of people are switching to FaceBook. What a pain! I'm going to stick with the classic forms of communication for now. I'm also not a fan of some big corporate company having all of my personal information.
